What decides the price
- The machine. Faster, larger machines cost more to rent.
- Colour or mono. Colour pages cost more to produce than black-and-white.
- Your print volume. With per-page billing, what you print shapes what you pay.
- Finishing and extras. Staplers, booklet finishers and extra paper trays add to the cost.
- What’s included. Some plans include servicing, toner and parts; others charge for them separately.
- The term. Rental and lease terms vary, so compare quotes over the same period.
Why the cheapest monthly price is not always the cheapest
A low headline price can hide extra charges for toner, call-outs or parts. A plan that includes them may look higher but cost less overall. Always ask what is included before you compare.
How to keep your rental cost down
- Right-size the machine. Don’t rent 55 ppm if 35 ppm covers your busiest hour.
- Know your volume. Check your current meter readings so the quote matches reality.
- Print colour only where it helps. Set black-and-white as the default on staff computers.
- Use quotas. Card sign-in and quotas, supported on the Sindoh D7500 and D5000 Series, stop waste.
- Scan instead of copy. Scanning to email or a folder costs no paper or toner.
- Plan to upgrade, not overbuy. A plan with an upgrade option lets you start smaller.
